Delete your fare.deals account
You can delete your fare.deals account — including your Ledgers access — at any time, on the website or in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to fare.deals on the website or in the app.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to "Delete my account" and press the Delete my account button.
- Type DELETE to confirm and press Permanently delete. You will be signed out straight away.
Can't sign in?
If you no longer have access to your account, send us a deletion request through our Contact page or email our Grievance Officer at grievance@fare.deals from the email address or with the phone number on the account. We will verify that the account is yours before deleting it.
What we erase
- your name, profile photo, email address and phone numbers;
- your sign-in methods — your Google sign-in link and phone sign-in are removed, and all your sessions are ended;
- your property listings, ads, worker profile and car-rental profile, which are taken down at once;
- the photos you uploaded for those listings, ads and profiles;
- the chat messages you sent;
- your saved listings, saved searches, saved ads and saved workers;
- your waitlist sign-ups and your answers to our "what are you looking for" question;
- the text of reviews you wrote (the star rating stays, so other people's averages do not change);
- the owner name, registration, chassis and engine numbers of any vehicle you added;
- your access to Ledgers societies and units.
What we keep, and why
- Signed agreements, e-signatures and invoices: kept because tax and e-signature laws require it. They stay linked to an anonymized account that no longer carries your name or contact details.
- Records held by a society or a landlord: Ledgers bills and receipts, tenant records and documents that a society committee or landlord keeps are their records, not yours to delete. Your own access to them ends.
- Messages other people sent you: these belong to the people who wrote them.
- Your notifications: kept on your closed account, where no one can open them.
- Audit and security logs: kept to protect the service and meet legal obligations.
What is removed later
A few records are removed on a schedule after your deletion date:
- enquiries you sent: anonymized after 90 days;
- identity-check results: deleted after 30 days (kept longer only while you are party to a running agreement);
- records of phone numbers you revealed: deleted after 180 days;
- AI usage records: deleted after 365 days.
After deletion
- You cannot sign back in to the deleted account.
- If you sign up again later with the same Google account or phone number, you get a new, empty account.
- Content others have already copied or saved outside fare.deals cannot be recalled by us.
